The 29th Year

10 days ago I turned 29 years old. The next day, a Friday, I left my job as a graphic designer – for good.

The spring and summer months have consisted of waves of nervousness and giddy anticipation for this start to a year when I'm going to jump into a career as a full-time freelance illustrator and designer, travel more and focus on the people I love.

Birthdays have always seemed like a starting point and my 29th year is beginning with this mantra:

Here's to hoping for more blogging, endless inspiration, doodling and time with friends between the rigors of building my own business. Between now and September 9th I'll be traveling with my husband, who is off taking the Michigan Bar Exam as I write this! We set off for a month of visiting friends in California and a two week adventure in Mongolia this Saturday!!!
